'Uttama Villain' technician gets Oscar!

This 87th Academy Awards of Hollywood bowed to the captivating storytelling and sensitive dramas rather than glamour and action. And it’s become a regular notion that every Oscars should at least need a tiny link to India and now this time also it has it.

None of Indian artistes may have their ways to Oscars this time but a technician, who is holding Kamal Haasan’s upcoming ‘Uttam Villain’ as his second film, got the Oscar for his first film. Craig Mann, a Canadian re-recording mixer who debuted into Hollywood with the movie “Whiplash”, won the Oscar for this film on the 87th Academy Awards held yesterday. He shared this award among his other technicians Ben Wilkins and Thomas Curley.
