At the condolence meeting arranged in Chennai on Sunday to pay tributes to filmmaker K Balachander, who passed away recently, the likes of Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, among others attended the same. Speakers at the event paid rich tributes to KB. The event took place in Raghavendra Kalayana Mandapam. His demise truly marks the end of an era and over the past 45 years of his career, he has created several memorable characters and introduced scores of new talent. The veteran director was the mentor for Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth.
